Where I have been?

Hello? Is there somebody there? Well, if you are still there thank you. These...weird months I have been training a skill that I started building years ago and left it because I haven´t the tools, in fact the hardware and software tools. Of course I´m talking about digital sculpt.

Thanks to 3dbuzz (they uploaded for free their digital lessons, but sadly because was closing its netschool) I spent a whole month learning the basics of working with Zbrush. But after that month and some time more I was able to make this:

Not a bad begining, not at all. Still a lot to learn if I wanted to make 28 mm miniatures (the most critized thing is that the model looks like thought for a 54 mm model) so a lot to still learn.  While was making things for fun and for another projects:

And my last complete projects:

* Clean MK III armours: The death Guard models are an amazing source of MK III bits, but you need to spent a lot of time cleaning details, sanding and stuffing...so, was time to save time!

* Another try for GW: Again I´m trying to convince GW that I´m a pontential good sculptor for their team, so time to copy a GW model ans show what I can do:

Still a long road ahead...a looooong road

[40K] Death Guard Comission Part IX

Oh my!!! I thought I have been updating the blog all these months!! That´s the reason I didn´t want to make an Instagram acount, because I knew I would leave the blog at the side...my apologies!

I would update these models in three diferents threads, but I will show them all, because I have to correct my omission. This comission/project is almost finished and there are only 5 models left, but today I bring you again a bunch of terminators.

First of all, the Lord of Contagion from the Conquest box. I must say that when I saw this new and bigger cataphracti terminator I was really happy thinking that GW was really planing to upscale and diversify the terminators models, sadly, when the new Chaos Terminator Box was released they were still standard terminatos, but well, there could be still more new boxes in the future.
The first idea when I saw the model is that the base would be a bit diferent from the rest of the army, and as big as it is, I could tell a (funny) history with it. I could imagine the  Lord of Contagion walking for a battleground that is slowly becoming a swamp or a mucus pool by the power of Nurgle, so the Nurglins try to avoid their overlord get stuck in it, working as step point. Also I use the flies from the Deathshorud box, I think they give the base an even more "swamp look"

Lord Felthius, another Lord of Contagion, but is curious how the box this time bring 40 mm bases for all the models, so the first thing was to change it by a 50 mm base. Again a big base needs a history, but I won´t repeat the mucus/swamp thing. This model is walking leaving behind the rusted wreckage and corrupted ground.

The colour scheme is the same that the Lord of Contagion, but the technic is a bit diferent, I tried to use the dabbing technique in the cloak, just to see how diferent it would look

This model has a weird face, I can´t argue against it, but is suitable with Nurgle background, always happy, always enjoying what you do...and also, I love to paint faces

And finally, the bodyguards-nonbodyguards, I made them subtle changes, just to use all the bits left from the Blighlords box and give them bubonica axes.

Very soon I will update anothe finished model
